For G550 4×4² owners, we SUGGEST purchasing a standard G rear door (tailgate) — new or used tailgate from a G500/G55/G550/G63. It needs to have the holes for the standard G-class spare tire mount. So, buying a new rear door is easier than drilling into the 4×4’s rear door and buying/installing the mounting plate. It will require drilling holes into the rear door hinges. This set up uses two mounting points
