In embracing an unwavering commitment to an all-electric future, Rolls-Royce opted for a pure electric drivetrain over a hybrid alternative for Spectre. The vehicle is equipped with two Separately Excited Synchronous Motors (SSMs), featuring a front electric motor generating 190kW / 365 Nm and a rear motor delivering 360kW / 710 Nm. In performance terms, this translates to the power of a 430kW (584 hp) internal combustion engine with 900Nm of torque. Spectre achieves impressive acceleration, reaching 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds).
With a 102kWh lithium-ion battery sourced from strictly controlled locations in Australia, Morocco, and Argentina, Spectre's battery cells are manufactured using 100% green electricity. Rigorously tested in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C, the vehicle maintains an optimal operating temperature at all times through its on-board thermal management system.
Spectre's design draws inspiration from diverse realms beyond the automotive sphere, including haute couture, modernist sculpture, nautical design, tailoring, and contemporary art. Specifically influenced by the clarity and precision of line and intelligent use of reflection in modern racing yacht styling, Spectre's design is an amalgamation of various creative influences.
Continuing the celestial theme, Spectre features an Illuminated Fascia that took over two years and more than 10,000 collective hours to develop. Positioned on the passenger side of the dashboard, this intricate design incorporates the Spectre nameplate surrounded by a cluster of over 5,500 stars, remaining completely invisible when the vehicle is not in operation.
