The introduction of the electrified Urus variant signals Lamborghini's progression towards its electrification goals, slated to replace the current petrol-only Urus S and Performante models.
As of now, the availability of the Urus SE in Australia remains uncertain. We've reached out to Lamborghini for clarification and will update this narrative accordingly.
Under the hood, the Urus SE boasts a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine generating 456kW of power and 800Nm of torque. Complementing this V8 powerplant is an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission, contributing 141kW and 483Nm.
Fueling the electric motor is a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack positioned beneath the boot floor, enhancing the vehicle's balance, and above the electronically controlled rear differential.
Lamborghini asserts that the Urus SE offers an electric range exceeding 60km, achievable at speeds of up to 130km/h.
With a combined output of 588kW of power and 950Nm of torque, the Urus SE claims the title of the most potent Urus variant to date. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds and achieves 0-200km/h in 11.2 seconds, with a top speed of 312km/h.
Debuting alongside the Urus SE is a novel centrally positioned longitudinal electric torque vectoring system, featuring an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch for dynamic torque distribution between the front and rear axles. This setup, coupled with the new electronic limited-slip rear differential, offers responsive handling characteristics, including "on-demand" oversteer.
Externally, the Urus SE sports subtle design enhancements, including a redesigned bonnet reminiscent of the Revuelto, updated bumpers, and front grille, along with a refreshed matrix LED headlight signature, rear spoiler, and diffuser.
The interior boasts a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, alongside updated panel, seat, and dashboard coverings.
